Questions, answered

Do participants need an account or an app?
No. Anyone with the link can join from Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox on a laptop or phone. Hosts decide whether guests can join or sign-in is required. On Android, the GurukulLive app gives the smoothest experience.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan includes group meetings of up to 40 minutes with up to 100 participants, and one-to-one meetings without a time limit. Upgrade any time for longer meetings, cloud recording and classroom features.
How does automatic attendance work?
GurukulLive notes when each student joins and leaves a class and computes attendance when the class ends. Teachers and admins can review the report and export it.
Will it work on slow mobile connections?
GurukulLive adapts video quality to each person’s connection, and students can join with their camera off to save data. Audio is prioritised so the class stays understandable.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes — in Safari on iPhone and iPad. A native iOS app isn’t available yet; the web app covers joining, chat, reactions and raise hand.
Can I pay in rupees and get a GST invoice?
Yes. Plans are priced in INR (excluding 18% GST) and can be paid with UPI, cards or netbanking via Razorpay. GST invoices are issued for every payment.
Can I embed GurukulLive in my own website or LMS?
Yes, on the Business plan: create meetings with the REST API, give each user a one-click join link, embed the room in an iframe and get webhooks for joins, attendance and recordings. See the developer overview.
